“Trying is lying.”
This is an axiom I learned from
Dr. Robert Anthony. It is true when you think about it, but I take it a step further. Trying is dying! This might sound crazy, but you are actually killing your dreams by trying so hard to achieve them.
Many of us are familiar with the donkey and the carrot story. In short, you tie a carrot to a stick and dangle it in front of the donkey. Wanting the carrot, the donkey starts walking. The donkey will walk, walk, walk assuming it will eventually get the carrot. The problem is that the donkey doesn’t realize the carrot is on a stick. He will NEVER get the carrot unless it is given to him. The funny thing is most people will fasten the stick to the donkey’s harness in most cases. So, as the donkey moves, the carrot moves with him and stays out of reach. The donkey’s intent is to get the carrot, but his actions, unknown to him, are what’s keeping the carrot away.
Trying is for jackasses, ya dig! STOP BEING A DONKEY!
See… when you try, YOU BECOME THE DONKEY!!! More often than not, the harder you try, the longer the stick gets, ya dig.
So what do you do? Well, many try even harder, fools that they are. Sooner or later, they give up on that goal, that dream. The goal never gets reached and the dream fades to a mere wish. Why?! It’s not because you are incapable or the dream unattainable. It is because you tried and… trying is dying.
To try is to fail. There is no getting around that, and there is no way to sugar coat it. Just look at the old saying…
“If at first you don’t succeed, [which means you failed] try and try again!”
Basically, it’s telling you that you’re a loser and you should keep coming back to repeat the process. The entire idea of trying is borne of confusion and fear. Those thought patterns, fear and confusion, don’t hold much weight in the 1yaself philosophy. We don’t go about in confusion, and we are not moved or motivated by fear, ya dig.
Now, if you are still fronting, let me put this last nail in the coffin. Let’s look at the word try and its derivatives.
try, trying, tried
No… let’s just look at the past-tense, TRIED. What happens after you’ve tried something? Usually, you move on to something else because you have failed, but you might be an energizer bunny and keep trying and trying and trying. Did Michael Jordan try to win 6 championships? Did Barry Bonds try to hit over 700 homeruns? Did George Bush try to steal the Presidency? While some political pundits may challenge me on the last question, it is clear that neither of these men tried anything. They set out to do what they did, and it got done… ya dig! I could go on, but the picture should be clear now.
OK SOK, so trying is lying. I get it, but now what?
Well… first you have to understand that the universe mirrors your actions. You are the microcosm and the universe is the macrocosm. So when you try, the universe tries. You don’t get what you desire because the universe is still ‘trying’ to get it to you, lol. Just like you’re still ‘trying’ to live that dream of yours. It’s simple math, ya dig.
trying = dying
Trying is dying, so let it die, have a quick funeral and start DOING… ya dig!
stay tuned…
